Summary of Programs and Services
· St. Katharine Drexel Education Services is available to our clients and most classes are available to others in the community to help people improve their intellectual, spiritual, emotional and physical well being. Classes offered include GED preparation, English Language (ESL), personal finance, computer skill building, child car seat safety, Natural Family Planning, and parenting skills, etc. For a schedule, click here or call 918.508.7102.
· Professional Counseling offers comprehensive personal, marriage, and family counseling by licensed professionals. Counseling is by appointment only and may be scheduled for weekdays from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm or evening hours by request. Please call 918.508.7131.
· Padre Pio Emergency Assistance Program provides food, clothing, and social service assistance to 35,500 people annually. Padre Pio services are usually available Tuesday-Friday from 9:00 am-2:00 pm and closed on Mondays. However, seasonal programs may affect our schedule. Seventy-five people/families will be seen each day. Services are also available Tuesday evenings from 4:30 pm-6:30 pm (food and clothing only; no financial assistance) and the third Saturday of each month from 9:00 am-11:00 am (food and clothing only; no financial assistance). Hot lunches are now being served to our clients on campus on Thursdays after Mass. For more information call 918.508.7160.
· Rural Outreach Locations: some services are provided through parishes in other cities in Eastern Oklahoma, including Sallisaw (co-op program with other churches), Muskogee, Poteau, Pryor, Tahlequah, Hugo, and St. Jude Helping Center in McAlester. · Immigration Services helps people obtain legal documentation and citizenship in cooperation with the US Department of Homeland Security, and provides legal assistance regarding immigration issues. Immigration Services requests that people call Monday through Friday for consultation appointments at this direct-dial number: 918.508.7180. Consultations are scheduled for Thursdays and clients are assisted further on other days by appointment.
· Migration & Refugee Services coordinates the reception and transitional needs of refugees resettled by the US State Department, including housing, food, and job placement. This program is housed in the Immigration Services building, and hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 am-4:30 pm. Call 918.508.7182 for appointment.
· Blessed Mother Teresa Dental Services is in the Blessed Mother Teresa Health Center. General dental care and restorative care is provided to those without insurance or access to dental care. Appointments are required for initial examinations and basic dental care and take place on Tuesdays (day and evening hours); call 918.508.7191 for information and leave a message for call back. For people needing immediate pain relief or extractions, no appointment is required. They should come at 5 p.m. on Tuesdays. After hours, we suggest people with dental pain call one of the other free dental clinics in Tulsa.
· Blessed Mother Teresa Women’s Health Services is a new women’s health care program in the Blessed Mother Teresa Health Center on the Catholic Charities campus. The program provides pregnancy testing, prenatal and postnatal care, and is now open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am-4:00 pm. Beginning July 2011, the program will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am-4:00 pm with a lunch break from 11:30 am-12:30 pm. Walk-ins are welcome. · Adoption Services helps women who have unplanned pregnancies by providing adoption information and planning, and it assists prospective adoptive parents with domestic and international adoptions. Hours are 9:00 am-4:30 pm Monday-Friday. Call 918.508.7130. Pregnant? After hours call 918.978.4673.
· Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat Program provides support and healing to those struggling with the effects of abortion. Call 918.508.7142 or after hours 918.978.HOPE (4673). ALL calls and participation in the retreat are confidential. The next Tulsa retreat is November 4-6, 2011. Individual counseling is also available.
· Madonna House is for women who are pregnant and above the age of 18. This residential and transitional program assists women and their newborn children, and is staffed 24 hours a day/ seven days a week. Call 918.508.7140. After regular business hours, call 918.978.HOPE (4673).
· St. Elizabeth Lodge is a transitional housing and support service program for working, homeless families with a goal of independence and fulfilling family relationships. Call 918.508.7146.
