 Sallisaw Helping Center
Catholic Charities maintains an active presence in South East Oklahoma through the Sallisaw Helping Center. Staff and volunteers bring food, clothing and other supplies to those in need.
Approximately 25% of the 40,000 people in Sequoyah County have received assistance from Catholic Charities in the last year. Over 45,540 meals were delivered and they helped with more than 5,000 requests for clothing.
MaryLynn Lufkin, the Director of Operations in Sallisaw, stated that, “God has set it up this way. People in the community have come to realize that if you come to Catholic Charities, we will help them.
We can rally other pastors and people in the community to get results for people in need. Area pastors have even chosen Catholic Charities to be the clearing house for the County when it comes to helping those in need.”

2nd & 4th Saturdays of each month from 9:00 am until about noon.
Services include a Food Pantry, referral services, possibly counseling and utility assistance as available.
