Title: Human Resources Specialist

Reports to: Director of Business and Finance
Position Description: This part-time position conducts all of the Human Resource functions for Catholic Charities and Saint Joseph Residence.
Key Tasks - Responsible for compensation and benefits administration and recordkeeping - Responsible for the maintenance of employee files, certification and policy requirements - Advise management regarding current applicable laws and regulations - Facilitates recruitment efforts - Facilitates new hire process and orientation - Assist and advise Directors with human resources’ issues - Develops, recommends, and implements human resource policies and procedures and employee handbook - Facilitates annual performance appraisal process - Maintains job descriptions as necessary - Accurately process bi-weekly payroll - Ensure accurate processing and recording of weekly accounts payable - Front desk reception relief on an emergency basis - Provide assistance during the annual financial audit - Duties as assigned
Key Skills - Bachelor’s Degree preferred - Relationship management and interpersonal skills - Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills - Problem solving and decision making abilities - Accuracy and detail orientated - Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities and meet deadlines - Ability to maintain confidential information and records - Ability to lift 20 lbs., bend, stoop, sit and stand for long periods of time - PC literate, Word, Excel, Outlook
