Catholic Charities' Events
Catholic Charities receives no funding from the Diocesan Development Fund or from the United Way. The programs operated by Catholic Charities are almost entirely funded by individual donations from the good people of eastern Oklahoma.
Two percent comes from federal funding, and approximately ten percent of income represents gifts from foundations. The result is a highly dynamic organization that is a reflection of the values of our donors.
Catholic Charities has specific events to raise funds and awareness each year. They are as follows:
Madonna House Autumn Harvest Fall Arts and Crafts Show in support of Catholic Charities' Madonna House. Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Bishop Kelley High School.
Run for Life/Walk for Adoption Fun, family event that provides needed funding for birth mothers held in the Spring of each year. The 5K Run/ 1K Fun Run/Walk will take place Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the 41st Street Plaza at River Parks.
Cooking Up Compassion Gala event that includes dinner and a live auction in support of all Catholic Charities' programs. Our most recent event was Thursday, May 13, 2010 at our new campus at 2450 North Harvard.
